Sophie & Pierre's Wedding
Domaine de Segondignac, in the Médoc
Sophie and Pierre chose Horizevent to plan their wedding in the Médoc, near Bordeaux. They opted for a daytime celebration: a secular ceremony in the morning, followed by the cocktail hour and lunch, with the dance floor opening around 9pm. This format is ideal for couples who want to spend more time with their guests, or who want their children to make the most of the day.
As is often the case, the wedding took place over three days: a small dinner on Friday, the secular ceremony on Saturday, and a brunch on Sunday. To celebrate their union, Sophie and Pierre chose Domaine de Segondignac, a beautiful orangery in the Médoc with a modern, elegant setting. To dress this exceptional venue, they opted for mainly floral decoration with varying heights, creating a tropical atmosphere with plants and shrubs accented by white flowers only — the classic green and white combination that never disappoints.
After several months of planning, the Horizevent team arrived at the venue on Friday to install all the decorations: fairy lights, arranging trees and plants, folding napkins, ironing tablecloths, and more. With the secular ceremony scheduled for Saturday morning, and given the amount of decoration involved, it was essential for the ceremony and cocktail hour setup to be well underway the day before. Having a wedding planner in Bordeaux was a real asset for the couple, ensuring everything was ready on time and in the best conditions.
